A menu inspired by my favorite season, and the arrival of some amazing friends.

As we are now deep into the heart of fall it is hard to ignore the chill in the air, the emergence of layered fashion, the richness of the colorful landscape, and the hunger for reminiscent flavors.

With great enthusiasm I created a seasonal tasting menu, to celebrate autumn and to share a Colorado culinary experience with some world class Floridian friends.

Visiting Aspen in the off season

As a Colorado native I sometimes forget to take advantage of all the amenities this beautiful state has to offer.  After a busy summer event season I decided to get away for the weekend, and head to one of my favorite places in the state, Aspen!

One thing I love is a good deal, which in Aspen can be impossible at times.  This weekend was no different!  I finally found an amazing deal at the Viceroy,  in Snowmass, that is offered to locals only throughout the fall, at rates as low as $145 per night.

A garden wedding with New Orleans Style

The Wedding of Lisa Arnolds & Dan Hoefer, presented an exciting challenge from the beginning.

The couple had already decided that their dream wedding was to take place at the historic home of Lisa’s family, in central Denver.  The challenge presented itself, as the family was no stranger to entertaining, to create a new venue that none of their friends or family would recognize.  As the theme began to emerge as an “elegant southern style garden party”, we knew we had to create an authentic ambiance.
